when your expression is limited, you became obsessed with what you are restricted with.It stimulates the unconventional and your obsession itself transforms into an expression.
This series is initiated on the sense of 'repression' coming from my creative anxiety where I am subconsciously repressed to express the certain emotions in life. my sub-conscious (free) act of painting constantly extracts those emotions out by making random abstract marks. Theyare becoming more conscious as I pursue the details in the facial structure. The contrast between the abstract and figurative is a sign of compromising with the repression in reality.
